Diggin History

Diggin’ History is the latest Possum Music album and features two songs which won awards at the Australian Songwriters Association Awards night in 2014.  Featuring 13 songs this album focuses on Australian History and has something for everyone.

  1. Say G’day – a great song that introduces kids to different languages.  This song includes 18 different ways of saying G’day.
  2. Grandad’s Place -is a song that talks about the antics that happen on Grandad’s farm.  Look out for the Magpie, the dam, the fire and Charlie the dog!
  3. I am a Dog – a song about being a dog.  This is loads of fun and will have you acting like a dog. Woof.
  4. Muttuburasaurus – A song about an Aussie Dinosaur found on a farm in QLD.
  5. Eureka Stockade – A song about the Eureka Stockade.  This song can support the introduction of this event to Primary school students in a fun way.
  6. Stinkin  Convicts – A song about some stinkin convicts making their way to Australia.  Look out for the bugs and critters, but it’s the sea sickness that will get you.
  7. Cock-a-doodle-do – A fun song about being a rooster.  Scratch your feet, shake your tail and do the rooster wail.
  8. Let’s Clap Together – A fun song to teach kids about music and coordination.
  9. Run, Run, Run Little Dinosaur – Run from the big dinosaur that is creeping and sneaking through the trees.  Would you rather be the little dinosaur or the big dinosaur????
  10. This Stinkin’ Boat – this song is about a boat that goes up and down, side to side, east to west, back and forth until you start feeling very, very…….. sick.
  11. Eureka – a song about the search for gold and the joy of finding it.
  12. Diggin Up History – this song is the final song from the shows Diggin History and Grandad’s Place and provides a summary of the exciting artefact found on Grandad’s farm.
  13. Do It Again – A motivational song about picking yourself up having another go.

Something Very Fishy CD Cover

 

Something Very Fishy has something for everyone. It is a mix of country, blues, pop, theatrical and circus music featuring:

  • Kathy Possum, Sven Tydeman, Bec Caruana, Candice Ellen and Peter Flanagan on lead vocals
  • Ruby & Jonah Prosser and Jasper Tydeman on kids vocals
  • Kathy Possum on piano, keyboards and mouth trumpet
  • Sven Tydeman on percussion, bass guitar, guitar, keyboards and sound effects
  • Claire O’Meara on mandolin, violin and piano accordian
  • Jim Conway on mouth organ

The album seeks to promote awareness of the damage people are doing to the marine environment through unsustainable fishing and plastic polution.

  2. Enter The Seal is circus music about a seal that loves to balance a ball on its nose.
  3. Whats That Thing is childrens song about differentiating between sustainable and unsustainable seafood.
  4. Stu Pidder (Rich) is a theatrical song about a fisherman who wants to get rich at any cost.
  5. Don’t Bite Me is a blues featuring 47 ocean related puns. Don’t Bite Me can be requested on Community Radio throughout Australia courtesy of the Australian Government’s AMRAP AirIt Unsigned Artists initiative.
  6. Five Little Sailors is a childrens song where each crew member of a sailing ship comes to grief when they fail to hang on.
  7. One Little Drop is a ballad about a little fish who needs our help to survive.
  8. Something Very Fishy is blues song about the plight of sharks.
  9. Stu Pidder (Broke) is a theatrical song about a fiherman who has taken too many fish and ruined his own fishery.
  10. The Real Treasure is a pop song about the Great Pacific Garbage patch and the damage plastics are having on the marine environment. The Real Treasure can be requested on Community Radio throughout Australia courtesy of the Australian Government’s AMRAP AirIt Unsigned Artists initiative.

  11. Fair Dinkum – Fair Dinkum means genuine, honest and true. This song is as relevant in the local Kindergarten as it is in the local Pub. Fair Dinkum has been played on Jango in USA, Canada, UK, Australia, China, India, Phillipines, Japan, Bahrain, Poland, Sweden and Mexico.
